I am a researcher on reservoir engineering doing a PhD on reactive transport through porous media. The thesis is about a methodology to simulate reactive flow through pore-space images obtained from micro-tomography. It couples the simulation of the transport equations with advanced geochemical modelling. The purpose of the work is to compute upscaled properties – such as overall reaction rate – for use in larger-scale models.
