I'm studying the thermo elastohydrodynamic modeling capabilities of OpenFOAM for the understanding of turbomachinery component design such as journal and thrust bearings. Previously I have worked on developing my own codes for multiphase flow dynamics simulations where the interaction between fluid and gas phases were captured explicitly. In addition, I have managed federally funded projects where we studied gas-solid multiphase flows in fluidized beds where particle clustering could be seen.
